The Friends of Redcar Gymnastics Club

The Friends of Redcar Gym Cub are made up of parents, families or others who are interested in supporting the activities of the club.  The Friends have a chair and secretary, voted in annually, but are an informal group.  There are short monthly meetings, usually held in the Claxton Hotel in Redcar, the dates and times of which are published on this site and on the notice board just inside the main entrance of the club premises.

Because the club is entirely run by volunteers, the friends are a vital resource who help to organise and run fundraising activities, provide support to help out at club activities and generally help the coaches in any way they can.  The group also helps to form a link between the club and all of the families of members.  The more Friends members there are, the more the club will be able to achieve.  Members don't need any special skills, just a little interest in helping the gymnasts.

Attendance at the monthly meetings is not vital, so even if you cannot get to the meetings you can become involved.  You can contact Dawn Smith or Dawn Flood for information about the friends group, using the links in the contacts section.
