Report from Club Grades and National Grades 6th March 2011

This was exciting; the first competition of the year for the Elite girls and always a well awaited one. Remind me, I said that when we get to the end of March with competitions every weekend for the whole of the month, we will be so tired!

First up were Holly and Chloe, and Lauren Flood. Wow; they performed well, Holly showing her lovely style on floor, head up and massive change leg on floor. It was great to see her with such confidence.  Lauren looked nice and neat with a fast floor routine, but was she going to catch that sole circle? Well, unfortunately, she didn’t but did touch it so got the scores she needed; a well earned 5^th place! x

Chloe Robinson; another great day for you, another grade passed with distinction, and a tuck on floor that was massive, well done!

Next up were the National Grades, 8, 7 and 6. Tyla, Tilly and Jessie were in this one. Quite a strong team, they have worked so hard on their range, often crying but they haven’t given up! We need not have worried as all three passed with distinction. Tyla 7th, Tilly finishing in 6^th and Jessie in 3^rd. Jessie will represent the North in Birmingham in April; well done Jessie!

Next up were Lauren and Alice, and everything went well in warm up. Alice lost her cool on bars, and picked up a fall. This seemed to throw her, and she fell on beam, however picked it up again on vault and floor a well earned pass at National 7 with gold and a trophy to bring home; well done Alice.

Lauren was next at grade 6; another fab performance from Lauren. clean on beam, and bars to die for, not bad as we didn’t have a decent back away a week ago. Talk about take it to the day Lauren!.  A fantastic floor routine, Lauren was done, picking up the regional title; well done lolly.

Lauren and Jessie managed the required 46.00 score to go to National Finals, well done Girls
