British Voluntary Level 4 National Finals 5th November 2010
Off to Guildford we went; Hannah had the adventure of taking the train and the Coaches and I travelled by air.

Hannah had podium training on the Friday. This went well, but she was nervous and being on her own warming up and training didn’t help, although it does have the advantage of no distractions. Vault was under discussion; do we ask for the Tzukahara? We knew we had stood many, many up in the gym but this was a tall order for a National Final and the landing was so hard! After a discussion between coaches and Hannah we decided to opt for the more practiced Handspring; little did we know Hannah had bigger ideas! Sitting quiet in the audience all Saturday and Saturday evening, Hannah decided she was going to do that Tzuk, and as her coach I knew once Hannah decided that we would get it!

The Competition couldn’t have gone better, Hannah amazed us all, usually what you see in the gym is what you get, but this time Hannah had that extra special sparkle. It must have been the hair do e? She shone, and stood the Tzukahara up; her target of going clean was made and she was so proud of herself; rightly so. Finishing in 16th Place in voluntary level 4, with her scores from Compulsory`s carried over Hannah`s total score placed her in 22nd place in the country, a very credible effort, with an unexpected thrill of 3rd overall on Beam.
