Report from Alpha Factor Invitational September 2010
Training in the Gym started early in the Summer Holidays for some, as this competition is one we always look forward to. The atmosphere is always great in the Wilts gym, and this year was no exception. Some had new skills to try out; all had worked hard to go. Redcar took 14 girls to take part in three levels.
The out of age gymnasts started the competition with fantastic performances, some falls on beam but they all looked lovely and shone all the way around. Sunday saw the 'In Age' gymnasts, and the atmosphere changes with the top clubs trying their Levels children before their Regional Qualifiers. There were some amazing talents in these age groups. Mae Hill (8yrs) performed a fabulous floor routine and picked up a Ribbon on bars for the least deductions. Jessica Lacson and Hannah Peggs both made their coaches very proud with their giants and clean backaways. All the 2001 birthdays for once were together which was lovely, Chloe Jones showing what talent she has hidden from us. Naomi had her head up performing a lovely floor routine. Poor Vicky; well we certainly missed you, I’m so sorry you were poorly, but health comes before Gym and we always put that first.
We are all looking forward to the Pink Ladies Invitational, and Bill Slater; busy, busy, busy.
