Sport For All report 14th February 2009

As always, attending this competition is traditional within the club. We are all so excited about this one every year; so much fuss, so much hard work goes into making these gymnasts enjoy their first ever competition.

The Gymnasts had been so excited all month. It seemed like the day would never arrive to the children; but the event was upon us at last. Beth Gibbs and the boys were on first round and we waited in gym with baited breath for news from Justine - who had done well, what had happened; it didn’t take too long! Well done Beth; your first gym competition, and both Boys, how good did you look in your new kit?

After a control competition in the gym, and hair done and made to sparkle, the rest of us travelled in convoy to Thornaby. Oh!, and went wrong thanks to Elllie’s Dad. He knew the way but forgot to tell us. lol.

The girls looked fab in their new kit, sparkling and the boys had their new white kit on; very professional indeed.  The warm ups all went well. The RGC support wagon was in full voice, it drowned out everyone else. Well, we needn’t have worried, Beth Gibbs came in first place with massive scores, and both boys had fab routines.

The under ten team, Jess, Macy, Hannah, Chloe, Ellie and Naomi had a fantastic, day.
