Denis Hamer Christmas Competition

Our annual Denis Hamer Christmas club competition took place on 6th December 2008 in the gym.  This is our time for all sections of the gym to meet together and show off.

Once again a huge, huge turn out with 107 entries  for the event ranging from Recreational to Elite, both boys and girls, all happy to take part and supported by as many parents and family as we could cram into the building.  It was like a military precision event, to get through the day in time.  Thanks to the Coaches for their swiftnesss in getting through the warm ups with ease.

From Imogen Cook (the youngest) to Leanne Smith (the oldest) all showed of their skills and smiles.  We saw some outstanding acheivements, and some personal bests, with amazing results in the Recreationel groups, the Rec team had produced some very tidy gymnasts!  You can purchase a DVD from the gym of the competition for £3, see any coach.

Thanks to Barbara and Steve for their work on the scoring, a hard task as I wanted the top score on each piece for the day as well as the winners, also to John Murray and Michelle Stebbings  for their hard work on music and microphone.

This  year saw more medals handed out than ever and more parents to watch which was great.

The Prestigious Denis Hamer Trophy  for achievement through the year went to ,
