Report From Age Groups 28th September 2008

We only took a small group of gymnasts to this one, as plagued by injuries some had to stay at home.  At least stay at home in a manner of speaking as they came and lent their support.

All five of the girls competed really well, and they were looking great in their new leotards, all sparkly.

Lauren was a little star, Marge as we call her. She did  her giants, and we are all so proud of you lauren!!

The team of Tyla Earl, Melissa Cook and Emily Richardsonm were up next.  They all competed very well, sailing round all the apparatus and the team coming home with a silver medal in the open age section.

Poor Caroline; the only senior out and with no team. The rest were all injured with one thing and another, but she had a good competition, head up, with huge vaults and that usual smile after the twist was over.

Well done girls!  We need to have some bigger skills, though, no pre elite for us this year as we are going to concentrate on skills in the gym and get you off full routines for a while. I know some will be happy with that idea.
