Boys Gymnastics GroupsWe have a thriving and rapidly growing boys section at RGC, with a friendly atmosphere. The boys usually start off in the recreational section of the gym. Here, in parallel with the girls, they will learn the skills to help them pass their British Gymnastics Proficency awards. Boys gymnastics covers some of the same skills as the girls, but includes much more strength work. | | | Once they have their basic proficiency skills, they will begin training in a dedicated boys group on the more advanced gymnastics skills. For the more advanced boys, we also have a general boys squad who upon invitation to this group train around 6 hours a week and take part in Regional Competitions. Some have also gone on to compete nationally representing the Northern Region. If you are interested in joining the boys groups, then please contact Brendan O`Brien who is head of the boys section (Details in the contact section). |
