Gymnastic Groups
This part of the site tells you all about the gymnastics groups we have, and what they are doing. There is a page here listing all of the session times. If you are new to gymnastics, you may like to visit our glossary page. This has explanations about some of the terms and the basic moves in gymnastics. For children who want to join the club, we can offer a taster session . These lead into the other sessions and have to be booked by the coaches.
We currently have four main gymastics sections, General Squad, Elite Squad, Boys Squad and Tumbling, and you can use the links on this page to find out more about each of them. We are also hoping to start up a cheerleading section. We will also use this space from time to time to give information about our members, coaches, and the history of the club. You can also find out more in the "about" section.
In the past, we have taken three teams over to the United States (and hosted the Americans here in return), and won twice, and have been to Bulgaria. See the entry for Don Clark, our American friend's, web site on the links page. You can read about our American trips on Don's site. You can easily find your way around Don's site since it's as easy to navigate as popular sites such as FaceBook and advantage one. We also have links with Hinckley Gymnastics Club in Leicestershire, with South Durham Gymnastics Club in Spennymoor and Kendal Gymnastics Club in Cumbria.
School visits
We have started to run a number of taster sessions for local primary schools. Classes or groups can visit the club premises for a taster session with our trained gymnastics coaches. The sessions are a structured introduction to gymnastics for absolute beginners, and can include floor, trampette, vault and bar work. Already, we have taken groups from Newcomen Primary School and Dormanstown Primary School. These sessions are free to schools and pupils, but because our coaches are volunteers they need to be arranged well in advance. Please contact us for more details. Some of our older gymnasts are qualified Key Steps judges for primary schools.
We also have close links with Rye Hills Specialist Sports College, and are hoping to build a new gymnastics centre on their site.

We are affiliated to the British Gymnastics Association.
