Redcar artistic gymnast Dana Murray has qualified to represent Great Britain in the Maccabiah Games 9th July to 7th August 2009 in Israel—the first British gymnast to qualify for 28 years!

Dana and her coach Diane Richardson are representing Britain and Redcar in the third largest games in the world. Keep up with Dana's progress here.

Dana's Diary

Saturday 4th July 2009.

 Last day of training at home.  I am heading off to Israel soon.

 Hi guys, sorry i havnt been updating you, i have been working on the tan ;)
haha, i have been really busy lately we have been up loads. I am having loads of fun in israel.

I have finished my compatition now i really enjoyed competing. I got to the vault finals but i dont no where exactly i came yet. The israelies and americans are really friendly.

I have swapped some of my kit for other kit and i have got a brazil top, its cooolll !

I am going to a party tonight in the city, cant wait!
We have also been to the dead sea i was so funnnn!!!

 I have finished the maccabiah games now and i have had an amazing time, it has been soooooo good!
It was reaslly sad to leave :(

It was the colsing ceremony last night, that was amazing to!
i cant wait to see you all soon and talk to you:)
